Overview
Social Posting lets you create and publish posts to your Facebook page, Google Business Profile, and Instagram account directly from Jobber, without switching between platforms or starting from scratch. Give Jobber AI a prompt, a service to promote, a job to highlight, or a message to share, and it drafts the content for you to review and edit. Prefer to write it yourself? Start from a blank post instead.
Social Posting works alongside your other marketing activities in Jobber, including Job Showcase, your Marketing Plan, Reviews, and Campaigns, to help you stay visible and consistent across channels.
With Social Posting, you can:
- Create posts that promote your services and showcase your work
- Publish to Facebook, Google Business Profile, or Instagram from a single place
- Use Jobber AI to generate post content from your own prompts and ideas, or write a post from scratch
- Schedule posts in advance or publish immediately
- Review and edit all content before it goes out

Note
The connection to your Google Business Profile through Marketing Tools is separate from the automatic connection to Google Business that surfaces your booking and request forms to clients. The Marketing Suite connection lets you publish content, such as posts, job photos, and service highlights, to your social accounts. The two Google Business Profile connections work independently.
Create a social post
The fastest way to create a post is with the Social post generator panel at the top of the Social Posting page. Describe what you want to post, or paste in text you’ve already written, then select Generate Draft. Jobber AI creates a draft for every channel you have turned on, ready for you to review:
- In the Review multiple channels window, review the suggested date and turn off any channel you don’t want a draft for. Google, Facebook, Instagram, and Email are turned on by default.
- Select Review Drafts.
- Select a channel’s icon at the top of the screen to review and edit that channel’s draft. Jobber AI tailors the content to each channel.
- Select the Schedule [Channel] button, for example Schedule Google, to schedule that post. Or select the arrow next to it and choose Post now to publish immediately.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each channel you’re posting to.
Note: If you leave Email turned on, that draft is created in Email Campaigns instead of Social Posting. Find it under Marketing, then Email Campaigns, not in your All social posts list.
Use Create New instead if you want a single post for one specific channel, want to write a post manually, or want to build one from a job showcase:
- Navigate to Marketing, then select Social Posting.
- Select Create New in the top right, then select Social Post.
- Select Write your own post, then select Next. To build a post from one of your jobs instead, select Job Showcase. See “Create a post from a Job Showcase” below.
- Describe what you want to post, or paste in text you’ve already written. Then either:
- Select Next to have Jobber AI draft the post from your description, or
- Select Start from Scratch to write the post yourself instead.
- Select the social channel where this should be posted: Facebook, Instagram, or Google. If you haven’t connected that account yet, you’ll be prompted to connect it.
- Select Create Draft Post.
- Review the post. If Jobber AI generated the draft, read it over before publishing.
Note: AI-generated content may contain errors. Review it for accuracy before publishing. You can personalize the writing style Jobber AI uses for your business in Brand Center.
- Edit the content if needed, add photos, then select Publish now to post immediately, or select Schedule to choose a date and time.

- Scheduled: The post is confirmed and will publish on the date and time you selected
- Sent: The post has published
- Missed: A recommended post that was not published within its suggested window
How recommended posts work
Jobber reviews your recent jobs and activity to identify content worth posting to your social accounts. These appear as recommended posts in your Social Posting tab within Marketing.
A recommended post includes a suggested topic, timing, and a draft you can edit before publishing. You don’t need to start from scratch.
Jobber AI also suggests photos from your recent jobs to post directly to your Google Business Profile, separately from a recommended post. See “Approve photos for your Google Business Profile” in Jobber and Google Business Profiles.
To act on a recommended post:
- Navigate to Marketing, then select Social Posting.
- Open a recommended post from the list.
- Review the suggested content and edit as needed.
- Select Publish now or Schedule to post it.
If a recommended post passes its suggested timing without being published, its status changes to Missed. You can still publish a missed post at any time.
